Tuan Chau Island Holiday Villa Halong Bay is a four-star hotel located at Tuan Chau Island in Vietnam. Apart from being really close to the famous Halong Bay, Tuan Chau Island is popular for its entertainment and activities, making it a destination for local and international tourists alike. This 247-room resort also offers an array of facilities that includes a golf driving range, lantern presentation and multiple theaters containing a variety of entertainment for the guests.

Recently, the hotel resorted to biometrics time attendance devices with the main purpose of saving costs on attendance. Attendance could cost an overpay of around 1-8% due to human error alone according to studies and biometrics is expected to reduce administrative burden, eliminate human errors and reduce problems caused by conventional attendance systems such as a punch card attendance system. Biometrics such as fingerprint has been proven to be reliable, easy to use and flexible in terms of data integration and analysis.

Having approximately 200 employees working around the clock in the resort, the implementation of biometrics is crucial to save on overpaying due to overstaying, ‘buddy-punching’ and early leaving employees. The Tuan Chau Island Holiday Villa Halong Bay chooses a mixture of FingerTec’s AC100C, R2 and AC900 from the recommendation of FingerTec’s esteemed reseller JSC Futech Technology to solve their attendance issue.

The FingerTec device can track each employee’s attendance to a tee and it can provide the management with precise reports of each staff and the data from the devices can also be integrated to third party software for further analysis.
