QL Food Goes Biometrics with FingerTec
 
QL Foods Sdn. Bhd. is an agro-based manufacturing company located in Hutan Melintang, Perak Malaysia. The company manufactures and exports products for the global market and they are the leading manufacturer and distributor of surimi, "minced meat" derived from fish, in the Asian region. To meet international market requirements, the Company has to adhere to strict Halal and European (EU) Standards in all their processes.
QL Foods Sdn. Bhd. has more than 800 workers producing a wide variety of chilled and frozen surimi-based products of the highest quality and a wide range of dried surimi-based products such as dried fish fillet and squid rolls under the brand name “Ika's” with daily production of surimi and surimi-based products exceeds 80 metric tonnes, ready to be exported internationally.
 
Recently, QL Foods Sdn. Bhd. consulted our main distributor in the state of Perak, KBB Business Solutions Sdn. Bhd. for a better access control system for their production plants. After surveying the areas, KBB proposed 4 sets walkway barrier system to be installed with Face ID 3 for In/Out Access control to one of their production floors. Contactless system like Face ID 3 is well-suited for a production environment like at QL Foods Sdn. Bhd. Face ID 3 can contain 1500 face templates that only takes a couple of seconds to scan a face before giving access to the individual. The rest of the doors outside of the production block is controlled by 6 sets m-Kadex with i-Kadex RFID card system.
