Intrade Malaysia 09 -
Optimising global and local opportunities
( by Tew Bee Lay, Sales Manager )

The Third International Trade Malaysia Exhibition (Intrade Malaysia 2009), which secured over 340 exhibitors and 750 foreign buyers, lived up to its billing as ASEAN‘s leading general trade fair despite the challenging economic backdrop. On the first two days of the exhibition FingerTec booth attracted quite a number of foreign visitors and on the last day, more of local visitors. There were also local visitors who did not realize that FingerTec is a Malaysian company, as our foreign staff were attending to their inquires on the products!

It is apparent that more importers are seeking for products from Malaysia, as according to them, buying from Europe is too expensive and from China, the product’s quality is not guaranteed.  The show introduced us interested buyers from Africa, Europe, Middle East and also from Malaysia.

In conjunction with Intrade Malaysia, the organizer, Matrade Malaysia also set up one-to-one business meetings of which Mr. Teh met up with potential resellers. There were almost 700 foreign buyers in the meeting halls.

Our booth received a special visitor on the last day, Malaysia Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Jacob Dungau Sagan. He was shown the Fingertec Q2i model and we explained to him that FingerTec products are sold the world over.

At this Intrade exhibition, we generated a lot of interests in our new products, the FACE ID 2 and Keylock 8800. These 2 products will be made available by end of December.
