Injection of Confidence To Ultra Tech With Large Installation At Zain

Ultra Tech for Integrated Solutions and Services Co. Ltd, FingerTec Worldwide’s esteemed partner and sole distributor in Sudan recently had completed installation of a total of 50 units FingerTec® readers at Zain’s 11 branches across Khartoum including at their business centers.

The project was to replace the recently installed existing card system with fingerprint system in all Zain’s centers and to restore the system to a normal condition in a given time period. Following rigorous selection amongst 11 other suppliers, Ultra Tech was awarded the contract to install 36 units of access control and 14 units of time attendance at Zain’s branches. The initial obstacle was to convince Zain’s contractor of Ultra Tech’s capability to install and maintain the system without any major glitch and Zain’s preference to supplier from abroad made the competition tougher. Many presentations were staged before the contractor agreed to work with Ultra Tech.

R2 and TA100 models were selected to fulfill the requirements and Ultra Tech completed the entire project’s installation in 17 days. No disturbances were preferred during working hours; therefore work had to be done after working hours until the wee hours. Communication is done through data cloud and wireless connectivity, and Zain required the use of their own solution with some integration done with Ultra Tech’s own software.

The success at Zain has provided Ultra Tech with a good profile name, an injection of confidence for marketing of the FingerTec® brand across the nation. With the success in this project, Ultra Tech also

might be considered in Zain’s future projects involving a large number of access control system for their 17th floor new building in Khartoum.
