| Jubail city is the host of the largest industrial region in the Middle East and the North Africa region, MENA. Located in the Eastern province on the Persian Gulf coast Saudi Arabia, Jubail city houses the Middle East’s largest petrochemical company and Jubail Industrial City, the largest civil engineering project in the world so far.
Jubail Municipality is a government body responsible for the administrative matters of Jubail city that has a population of close to 224,000 residents. The municipality employs approximately 300 staff for various jobs, and they are looking for an effective solution to monitor their workforce’s attendance effortlessly. Before they consulted with ITQAN Fingerprint Co., FingerTec’s sole distributor in the Eastern province, the municipality had used another biometrics brand. However, the brand they deployed didn’t have the system in the local language, Arabic, which later on proved to be problematic for them. The employee couldn’t understand the system and in the end, the implementation of the system became a hassle.
