FingerTec Amazes All at Asian Securitex

FingerTec was in Hong Kong last month for the Asian Securitex 2014, a biennial event organized by Hong Kong Exhibition Services Limited. From 7th May to 9th May 2014, Asian Securitex showcases the latest security and technology in safety and fire protection products, gathering an estimated total of 11,000 visitors from 34 countries and regions.

Visitors attending the event consist of conglomerates seeking an effective workforce management solution to key individuals who are looking forward to test out the latest gadgets created and innovated through the advancement of biometric technology.

Competitive pricing and user-friendliness were the key pull factors which drew distributors and potential resellers to the FingerTec booth at Asian Securitex 2014. Among the featured products which fascinated the visitors are fingerprint and face recognition models from the Face ID and TA series as well as RFID card models and controllers such as Kadex and Ingressus.

Visitors continuously streamed into the FingerTec booth to give our products a test and it is observed that the FingerTec Face ID series attracted them the most as the enrolment process is simplified followed by a speedy verification. Having said that, we discovered that some of the visitors favour face template recognition as opposed to fingerprint verification due to privacy concerns.

On another note, Founder Globaltech is given the chance to share his experience and expertise with a number of professionals from various industries. Mr Dre Lau, Assistant Sales Manager of Founder Globaltech also gave visitors an introduction of the advanced Access Control System - Ingress and the door access controller – Ingressus.

As a whole, we can conclude that the visitors are gradually warming up to the idea of safeguarding themselves with biometric technology. The Asian Securitex Conference 2014 has been a valuable opportunity for FingerTec by allowing visionaries to reveal their potential to the industry leaders and pave the way of the security industry ahead.
