City Bank Bangladesh Activates Automation with FingerTec TA100CR
City Bank is one of the pioneer private commercial banks operating in Bangladesh. The Bank started its journey early 1983 establishing its first branch at B. B. Avenue in Dhaka. Today City Bank has a total of 120 branches stretched around Bangladesh.
Managing a large group of employees scattered over 120 branches nationwide and standardizing the quality of service provided is hard enough especially when it carries deadweight without support of a proper workforce management system.

To tackle this concern, City Bank proceeded to deploy with General Automation Ltd’s suggestion of adopting TA100CR for time attendance purpose. General Automation Ltd is FingerTec’s exclusive distributor in Bangladesh since 2008.

150 units of TA100CR were installed throughout all City Bank branches in Bangladesh. TA100CR is a contemporary biometrics time attendance device, with systematic data collection approach. With this new implementation, City Bank is now able to monitor and regularize their employees’ attendance and has a strong grip over the employee’s time management and work productivity. Purchasing a package of convenience this automated system completely eliminates the manual process that tagged along their previous traditional card attendance recording method. Each of the employee’s attendance in present is compiled electronically, which discards many of the human errors, dishonest manipulations, oversights and other callous encounters. Workload on the HR team especially during payroll times has been simplified significantly. Discarding completely the burdensome manual procedures, the HR team is now able to focus on value adding task to the company instead of spending much time on pinning focus to untangle the manual workflow.
City Bank believes that this new atmosphere will help to scale down human-generated payroll blunders, defeat time theft and overtime costs, as well as savings on miscellaneous cash outflows with the increase of productivity in their workforce.
