Situated at Kukum, the suburb of the capital Honiara, BRED Bank offers customers a modern, friendly and comfortable environment for all banking needs. Recently, as part of a corporate effort to increase the institution's overall security, BRED Bank decided to switch to biometrics with the assistance of FingerTec's established reseller in the island, M Cube Technology Ltd.. Convenience and safety are the two primary considerations, apart from security for this exercise. BRED Bank has chosen a combination of FingerTec Ingressus IV and R3c to guard all entrances and access to the Bank.

The Ingressus series controller supports access control for one or multiple door environments. With Ingressus, users need to verify their identities at terminals during entry and exit. Ingressus will do verification checking before access is granted, and transaction records are saved into its inbuilt memory. All the records are transmitted to Ingress software immediately for further processing. Once multiple Ingressus controllers are set up, they can be centralized via IP connection in a computer installed with the Ingress software. Each Ingressus controller works independently at its access point; however, the data is centralized from all Ingressus controllers to give a better and complete picture of the environment's security level.

Now all Bred Bank employees access the premises using fingerprint and found the new system stable and user-friendly, worth the investment for a new and modern security system. Published: 05/03/2021
