FingerTec Webserver: The Housekeeping
Before Doing Housekeeping:
Clear all transaction logs of every connected FingerTec terminal
All the transaction logs are downloaded into FingerTec Webserver immediately after verification with the terminals keeping a copy of the data in their local memory. Clear the data in each terminal.
Login to Webserver > Check to select all terminals > Operation for selected > Clear transactions in device

Disconnect all FingerTec terminals temporarily
Now you must disconnect all terminals to stop uploading of any transaction logs to the Webserver during the housekeeping process.
Login to Webserver > Check to select all terminals > Operation for selected > Pause

Doing Housekeeping:
Back up the MySQL database
Open the MySQL Database > icdat > Right click mouse > Export Database as SQL Statement > Define path to save the file > Export
Please keep the exported file securely.

Empty check in/out table
Open the MySQL Database > icdat > check inout > Right click mouse > Empty table >Yes to proceed.

Rename/Delect DataService Log
Look for the file DataService file in C:\FingerTec\WebServer\mysite\tmp\SvciClockWriteDataService.log (default path). This file becomes large during the operation of Webserver. You must rename or delete it during housekeeping process.
If you have enough disk space, you can choose to rename this file to SvciClockWriteDataService.bak.
If you are worried that you would have insufficient disk space in the future, delete it.

Reactivating All Terminals in FingerTec Webserver
After the housekeeping process, you now can restart all terminals in FingerTec Webserver. All the new transaction logs will be uploaded into the Webserver and the operations carry on as normal.
Login to Webserver > Check to select all terminals > Operation for selected > Resume
