  Software Update
  & Instructional Videos are Released!

FingerTec’s Ingress is an integrated access control management application that is powerful in features & performance yet is very user-friendly in its operations. To further enhance customer experience, we always strive to improve Ingress both in terms of its core features as well as its auxiliary products. That is why we’re proud to introduce the newly updated Ingress v2.1.4, released with a line of instructional videos for your convenience.

In the latest version of the powerful Ingress software, there are 12 new features and enhancements, together with 8 bug-fixes. Among the key additions include:

1. Interaction between motion detector and burglar alarm:
Ingress can now control the mechanisms between the two devices, whereby the software can set parameters for when and how the motion detectors will operate and send alerts to the burglar alarm when and if they are triggered. This is especially useful as Ingress can set on and off timers for the motion detectors to avoid nuisance alarms.

2. New “Entry Device” definition:
Ever wanted an easier way to check if a transaction referring to an IN or OUT record? In the latest version of Ingress, users can now define the Entry Device of every door to identify the records captured under the Monitoring tab. The other device attached to the same door will then be defined as an Exit Device and can easily be determined during monitoring.

3. Import/Export Face Templates via USB:
Previously, only certain user data and transaction records can be transferred via USB flash disk. In the latest version of Ingress, face templates can now be added to the list. Along with an update to the Face ID 2 and Face ID 4 firmware, Ingress can now transfer up to two face templates for each user.

4. Supports ‘Change Communication Key’ via Device and Software
‘Change Communication Key’ enables users to apply a new communication key to devices first before inserting them in Ingress. This was previously unavailable as there were issues with establishing connections due to ‘unrecognized’ changes to the database, and is now taken care of.

We’ve also added some enhancements such as:

Automatic housekeeping during database backup
New Quick Setup Wizard to ease first-time startups
“Notification Only” prompt at Ingress client handled by edited user
Blocks shifting to another user when making amendments at User Duty Planner
Allows modification of individual access level under User Module
Allows change of users among Access Group without removing from the previous group
Supports a maximum of 3 sets of time intervals for Permanent Door Open Close Time zone

On top of that, we’ve gotten rid of these bugs too:

Suspended users can still gain access after administrator suspends him
2nd and 3rd time intervals in Permanent Door Open Close Holiday Time zone are not working
Data Audit List displays duplicated records when downloading data from Ingressus
Fingerprint template cannot be copied into a USB flash disk for uploading to Keylock
Administrator can still insert 0 as reference ID for Roster, Remark and Schedule
Error when displaying Absence Count in Electronic Time Card
Error when displaying Short time in Daily Attendance Sheet for Rest Day
Error when displaying Leave count as Absent in Tardiness Report
