Some users prefer HID iClass Cards as these cards have a larger memory capacity to store more user information. To be able to use HID iClass cards, a system/terminal should be able to read/write information into the cards, which at the moment FingerTec is not able to carry out, though the development is underway.

What FingerTec can support at this stage is only a 26-bit HID iClass card. Cards with different bit requirements such as 36-bit can't be used in FingerTec HID terminals. These types of cards are usually specified to select clients that require some level of customizations.

However, for those who still want to use FingerTec terminals that can read HID iClass card, all hope is not lost. You could still forward your enquiries to us, but you'll have to send a sample of 8 cards for our team to test and adjust our terminal to read them. FingerTec doesn’t guarantee any success but we will conduct necessary tests to try and make it work.

One important note for this selection is, once you have decided to have your FingerTec in HID iClass, you can’t request for the GPRS feature. These two features cannot be paired in FingerTec terminals.
