| FingerTec introduces a 32MB core board with FEM610 firmware along with the introduction of the latest fingerprint terminal for time attendance and access control: FingerTec H2i. The FEM 610 is designed to be smaller in size as compared to the previous FEM 600 and FEM 500, to fit into the H2i's petite housing. The board can contain up to 1500 fingerprint templates and 30,000 transaction logs at any given time. It supports both BioBridge VX 9.0 algorithm and BioBridge VX 10.0 and the shifting of the algorithm version would not affect the existing data in the terminal. Even though the FEM610 contains more memory (32MB) than R2’s FEM500 (8MB), its storage capacity is limited in comparison to R2. The memory is mostly required to produce a high quality wave file. H2i terminal operates using voice commands to guide users; therefore having a substandard voice quality is not an option. The bulk of the memory in the FEM610 goes to the sound wave file for a powerful performance in the terminal. |
