FingerTec, as part of its marketing plan, is actively taking part in various exhibitions around the world. The recent exhibition that FingerTec participated in was the Secutech Taiwan Electronic Security, Info Security, and Fire and Safety held in the country’s capital, at the Taipei World Trade Center from 20th-22nd of April this year. This is the fifth time that FingerTec is taking part in the annual Taiwan exhibition.
Secutech Taiwan is always an exhibition that drives in huge local and international traffic, gathering distributors, dealers, and end-users from various sectors of the security industry such as digital surveillance, access control, and home automation. This year, it was a lukewarm response as compared to last year’s. We observed fewer visitors from Europe and America; most visitors were mainly end-users from the local market and potential resellers from Asian countries i.e. Philippines, Indonesia, India and Singapore. That fact did not hinder FingerTec from receiving quality interests from visitors to apply for FingerTec Global Reseller Program, as the simplicity of the program is attractive to small medium enterprises to start a business in biometrics.
In our effort to make things easy, this time around FingerTec used a QR Code to deliver information to smart phone users. Scanning the QR Code directs the visitors straight to FingerTec’s Facebook Fan Page, where they can find useful information and updated information about FingerTec’s marketing activities. Those who stopped and scanned our QR Code or stopped and dropped their contact information at our booth stood a chance to win a FingerTec Premium Gift by having a go at our lucky draw dip.
By day three of the exhibition, we found that the Face ID 2 was a crowd favorite, receiving lots of attention from the visitors, as face recognition is still a very novel idea in the security industry. The TA300, TA100C, and OFIS series were also highlighted in the exhibition, and as we showcased our various TA series’. Our booth visitors were mostly impressed by our various multimedia features – a result not particularly found before!
