While manufacturing encompasses a variety of industries, such as food and beverage products, textiles, furniture and chemical products, most people would usually associate manufacturing with companies in engineering and industrial design, such as automotive powerhouses like Toyota and renowned conglomerates like General Electric and Siemens.
