| HORECA, an abbreviation used for the foodservice industry, particularly the Hotel/Restaurant/Cafe, and from 4th-7th April 2017, Lebanon organized the region’s largest annual meeting place for the hospitality and foodservice industries. HORECA is an event that has been going on annually for the past 24 years.
HORECA 2017 was staged in Beirut International Exhibition & Leisure Centre, BIEL. It had welcomed more than 18,000 visitors to discover over 2,500 brands as it highlighted the latest in catering equipments, packaging and labeling, interiors, hygiene, pastry and bakery, food, beverage, coffee and tea, consultancy and recruitment, and technology in addition to a long list of other related sectors.
Selectron, FingerTec reseller in Lebanon took this chance to exhibit FingerTec biometrics products to the hospitality and foodservice industries by displaying the bestsellers like Face ID contactless facial recognition system and TA500/AC100C fingerprint solutions to the visitors. These biometrics devices have been widely used by the foodservice and hospitality industries because the system provides convenience of not carrying any tokens around and it can handle staff’s turnover quickly and accurately without much hassle. Selectron hopes that Lebanon’s foodservice and hospitality industries will be interested to shift to biometrics system for better handling of staff management.
