FingerTec H2i comes with 2 pieces of back plate; thin and thick type. Choose the appropriate back plate to suit different installation environments. |
The thin wall plate is suitable for installations where the wires are concealed inside a wall. Therefore, there would be no gap available between the H2i and the wall, and the installation would look neat and clean. |
The thick back plate is suitable in an installation environment where the wires could not be concealed inside a wall due to various reasons i.e. wall hacking is not permitted. If you use the thin back plate in these situations, there would be a gap in between H2i and the wall. |
The thick back plate has 4 holes located at the 4 sides of the square. |
When you mount the plate onto the wall, decide which direction the wiring will be goinf. If the wires will be going through the bottom, pull out the plastic tab at the bottom to create an opening. Ignore the other 3 plastic gaps. |
With the thick back plate, the wires are able to pass through these holes and into the contube. Thus, you would not need to hide or cut the wires for a cleaner installation. |
