FingerTec’s Capability Maturity Model Integration Certification At Final Stage

In August 2014, FingerTec will undergo the final stage of appraisal for the Capability Maturity Model Integration certification procedure. Developed by a group of experts from the industry, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a process improvement model that provides organizations with the essential elements for an effective process. It is often used to guide process improvement across a project, a division, or an entire organization.

CMMI has five maturity stages or levels: initial process, managed process, defined process, quantitatively managed process and optimized process. All requirements for the previous stage level must be satisfied before the organization can proceed to the next stage of the model. These maturity stages cannot be skipped or dropped. For organisations who wish to receive CMMI certification, they will need to undergo these five stages of maturity first. Next, the organization will be subjected to a mock assessment and final audit by the Software Engineering Institute representatives. Once these stringent requirements have been met, it is only then they will be receive the CMMI certification.
Remembering the milestones of our process for CMMI certification

FingerTec’s hope is that with the CMMI certification, it will continue to assist us in identifying and achieving measurable business goals, build better products, keep customers happier, and ensure that we are working as efficiently as possible.
