Sharing is caring, and what better thing is there to share other than knowledge? FingerTec embraces this belief by proudly introducing Academia, our way of sharing and spreading relevant market and product knowledge of the industry. This initiative is meant to make it easier for our end-users, partners, resellers, and distributors to gain meaningful information regarding the biometrics technology employed in time attendance and access control solutions. There are two sections in Academia, Technology and Marketing, which will both contain reports and articles on these said matters.

The first section of Academia, Technology, consists of exploratory reports that discuss in detail the FingerTec Technology used in all fingerprint and face recognition solutions as well as in TimeTec Cloud. Each ‘White Paper’ explains the background of the technologies employed, and gives comparisons between alternate innovations before explaining the methodologies used by FingerTec. The Schematic Diagram of FingerTec is also included in this section to give readers a holistic view of how our solutions function, starting from the input methods all the way to the communication, response and access modules involved.

The second section of Academia, Marketing, will feature articles that dive into time attendance and access control issues in specific industries such as nursing, tourism as well as higher education covering both staff and students. Future articles will also include an overview of the available solutions for these concerns. For its debut, FingerTec COO, Mrs. Norana Johar, kicks things off with a look into the main issues faced by Human Resources departments in the hotel industry, particularly the need for an automated yet secure attendance system to streamline all processes into one centralized server.

Moving ahead, we plan to include articles written by experts and professionals in the industry and will welcome quality contributions from our resellers who are heavily experienced in specific industries.
