Our newly acquired partner in Pakistan, AppleWood, has been shining through its effort of becoming an active reseller in their nation. On 11th December 2010, AppleWood attended International Security Conference 2010 held at Sheraton Hotel, Karachi which was attended by many Security Heads of Multinationals and Government Security Agencies.
With this move, AppleWood hopes to create more brand awareness toward their organization, as well as FingerTec products. The Security Conference 2010 received a great response from potential clients. “I found out that all the personnel present was a potential client. Most of them showed interest in our products specially FaceID-2 which was indeed the show rocker of the exhibition” quoted the CEO of AppleWood Pakistan, Mr. Saqib Hudda.
Prior to the exhibition, AppleWood Pakistan participated in an event at Pearl Continental Hotel called the Pakistan Entrepreneurship Summit 2010. It was a gathering of all CEOs & high ups of major organizations of Pakistan including, CEO of Bank Al Falah, Business Support Fund, Bank Islami, SMEDA, PASHA, State Bank of Pakistan and so on. Again, the Face ID 2 received attention and praise from the CEO’s and the high ranking executives present at the event.
Judging from the two events, it seems like the Pakistan market is ready to accept facial recognition biometrics as a security solution. This is very good news for FingerTec as it means that the general population are already used to the idea of the fingerprint technology, and breaching the Pakistan market shouldn’t prove to be too hard a job.
