The FCC Adds Value to Your Business
Please take advantage

The FingerTec Cloud Center (FCC) was launched on in July 2015, offering free backup for data FingerTec hardware devices that are connected to FingerTec’s homegrown solutions, Ingress and TCMS V2. This service is provided for free to all FingerTec customers and at the FCC, data is stored in the cloud in collaboration with Amazon Web Services, making it a safe and reliable storage method without any extra cost for a total of 90 days for each data.

Facts About FCC You Need to Know:

Create your FCC account easily through FingerTec’s Global Warranty Registration at here or you can register via fcc.fingertec.com.

To use the FCC, you must have FingerTec devices installed with the appropriate software at their premises.

To set up your devices with FCC, go into the settings in the Ingress software for each device and make the necessary configurations. Our FingerTec Technical Newsletter provides the step-by-step procedures for each device type to be connected to FCC. Once these procedures are done, head on to FCC and add your terminal by providing the device’s serial number and the Ingress software activation code. Without these two important details, no connection to FCC will be established.

It is important to identify the devices that are supported by FCC to avoid any incompatibility issues. Check the device list at the main page of FCC.

The data in FCC is stored in raw format while also being stored in the Ingress or TCMS V2 software. Having backup data helps in dealing with software or system failures, hardware corruption and loss, data transfer errors or any other forms of technical malfunctions that may affect data storage.

The data that FCC stores are terminal information, transaction logs, user data and fingerprint templates for devices that include biometric features. This backup can be imported directly to Ingress where an encrypted ZIP file will be downloaded. The data can be viewed in Ingress without having to extract from the ZIP file.

The free account of FCC stores data from the devices for 3 months in the cloud based on the First in, First out rule. This means that once the fourth month of subscription is reached, the data from the first month will no longer be viewable. Bear in mind that the data is not deleted and can be accessed by subscribing to the Premium version of FCC.

There are two types of subscription you can make for the Premium version; 6 months additional storage per terminal at USD 30 or 12 months additional storage per terminal at USD 50. Once you subscribe to the Premium version, you will get these additional months along with the default 2 months from the free account. Aside from the extended storage duration, you will also be able to view the User and Transaction sections, which would be inaccessible after the first 3 months of the free account. For a further look at the Premium upgrades click here.

At the moment FCC is only compatible with the Ingress software where the data can be imported to for a comprehensible viewing. Do expect FCC’s compatibility with TCMS V2 and the ability to migrate to TimeTec sometimes in the near future.
