Why R2 & M2 doesn't have sleep mode?
| Q: | Why I cannot find On/OFF button on R2 (or M2)? I cannot find Power Management option in the settings? Why is it different from other models? |
| A: | The R2 & M2 does not have any On/Off button because it does not allow users to turn it off. As a security terminal, it must be always powered on to safeguard the door. If the reader is off during its operation, this indicates the terminal is having problem (or down). User will know it and check it immediately. FingerTec® does not implement this option in settings to eliminate improper settings to turn off the terminal. Now no user can configure in the terminal to turn it off. Only authorized person can removed and unplug the power cable to turn off the system. |
