Mr Teh Hon Seng, Managing Director / CEO of FingerTec Worldwide Sdn. Bhd., a manufacturer of FingerTec® products, paid a visit to Sri Lanka during the last week of March to show his support for FingerTec local partners in the country. His visit was mainly focused on understandings the demand of the Sri Lankan market, providing manufacture support for existing FingerTec customers and sorting out solutions for customers’ requirements.

During the 3-day visit, Mr Teh had the opportunity to go to several key customer locations and attended the Sri Lankan FingerTec Partners Forum at Hilton Colombo Residences on the 13th of March 2008. At the event he announced FingerTec’s upcoming solutions as well as partner strategies with Blue Chip, the exclusive distributor of FingerTec® products in Sri Lanka since 2003. Blue Chip was given tips on how to use FingerTec’s resources effectively to have competitive advantages in doing biometrics business. He also explained on how both customers and distributors could benefit from using FingerTec’s Global Warranty Program. All in all, it was a very informative session and all participants engaged the session.

At Blue Chip Customer Engineering Lanka, we mainly focus our solutions for the projects and corporate client bases and pay fewer efforts to penetrate the mass market. Mr Teh had another idea and he strongly encourages us to target our mass market and he has promised on FingerTec’s commitments in assisting us to achieve the goal. Mr Teh also stresses his aspiration to make FingerTec® brand the market leader in this region in the next 5 years time.

During his stay in Sri Lanka, we managed to arrange his visits to National Savings Bank (Sri Lanka’s Largest Savings Bank), Union Assurance Pvt Ltd (Leading Insurance Company) and SINTESI Limited (subsidiary group of Brandix Garments) to identify future requirements.

Although the stay was short, the presence of Mr Teh Hon Seng has managed to strengthen ties between the manufacturer and FingerTec local partners in the country of Sri Lanka. We welcome him back anytime soon.
