Celebrating Mooncake Festival FingerTec Style!

The Mooncake Festival marks the mid-autumn harvest festival held on the 15th day of the 8th month in the Chinese Han calendar. This year the festival falls on the 27th of September but since it’s a Sunday, FingerTec celebrated the festival a week earlier.

To celebrate the festival, FingerTec gifts its Chinese employees with amazingly delicious mooncakes. Traditional to the Chinese community, mooncakess are offered between friends and family as a form of celebration. There are many traditions and myths surrounding the festival with origins dating back to the Shang Dynasty in 16th or 10th century BCE.

The festival marks the coming together of friends and family and these bonds are strengthened through acts of thanksgiving and praying.
