FingerTec Impresses at IFSEC 2013 –
SEA’s Largest Security Industry Exhibition

IFSEC Southeast Asia 2013, held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia, is a globally renowned industrial security, fire and safety exhibition that links international security and fire safety solution providers with government and commercial buyers in the region. Held on 11 – 13 September 2013, the exhibition attracted over 10,000 visitors and was estimated to have over RM14 million worth of business generated during the expo.

FingerTec managed to showcase its marquee line of products via its demo kits as well as fully functional terminals installed for demonstration purposes. The Face ID 4 terminals attracted people with its face recognition technology, while it was apparent by the number of queries that the market is heading towards heavier utilization of cloud computing as more inquiries were made regarding TimeTec Cloud.

FingerTec Worldwide was also given a spot to give a speech during International Security Technology Conference (ISTEC 2013), in which they presented “Romancing Efficient Security & Coveted Convenience via Biometrics” – a talk that tackled on the current and predicted future trends in the access control industry. Coupled with the launching of the sister company, EpiCamera, the response was overwhelmingly positive as many IP camera manufacturers were present at the exhibition and provided strong spillover demand towards EpiCamera’s cloud surveillance solution.

The 3-day event was filled with constant activity for the FingerTec team present at the booth as visitors were given a complete picture of what FingerTec had to offer, which went Beyond Biometrics. When all was said and done, FingerTec Worldwide’s involvement in IFSEC 2013 proved to be a huge success and the company looks forward to extending the business networks they made during the exhibition.
