FingerTec Takes Up Residence at Universal Hospitals
Group’s Offices

The Universal Hospitals Group (UHG) was established in April 1988 and consists of three subsidiary companies, which are Universal Hospitals Supply Ltd (UHSL), Universal Hospitals Project Ltd (UHPL), and Unirob Pharmaceuticals Ltd, each with their own line of services.

UHG offers services such as supplying medical equipment including, hospital goods and consumables. This service in provided by UHSL, while UHPL provides consultancy for turnkey design and construction of new hospitals, having completed over 100 projects across 20 countries both in the private and public healthcare sector. Unirob Pharmaceuticals Ltd focuses on supplying reliable and quality drugs to the Ghanaian and West African Markets.

Based in Accra, Ghana in West Africa, UHG is dedicated in giving people the best quality of sustainable healthcare solutions and services and has established partnerships with the Ghana Health Service, Ghana Ministry of Health, and the Nigerian Ministry of Sports just to name a few.

To increase their security and workforce management systems, UHG has installed FingerTec’s solution at their Accra office and Korlebu branch. The device selected for the installations was Q2i, which comes with the TCMSV2 software. FingerTec’s Q2i is an excellent selection for a time attendance and access control terminal. The device is capable of fingerprint verification and can store up to 10,000 fingerprint templates, making it suitable for large-scaled companies. The Q2i accommodates other types of verifications as well including RFID cards and passcodes, giving company options to access their premises.

The combination of the Q2i device and the TCMSV2 software brings to life a system that is automated, includes multiple features, and simplifies workforce and security management. One of the best features of having such a system is the use of work codes, where your staff can simply select the appropriate work code at the terminal to report on the reason of making the transaction. These work codes can be configured in the TCMSV2 software by creating a remark and applying a number to it. With this feature, administrators can know the purpose of transactions made at irregular times, which is helpful in monitoring staff performance and for job costing purposes.

Telecomputer Network Systems is our esteemed reseller in the region that made the installations of FingerTec’s Q2i devices for time attendance and access control at the Universal Hospitals Group in Ghana a success.
