Introducing TimeTec at the HR Technology Showcase 2012

Unlike the usual security exhibitions FingerTec participates in, the HR Technology Showcase was one that targeted the Human Resources departments of SMEs and large corporates as well. This was the first time that the exhibition was being organized, which was held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur, from the 4th to 5th of October 2012.

After the officiating of the event by the deputy minister of science, technology and innovation of Malaysia, the show started to pick up a stream of visitors. There were a total of 66 exhibitors participating in the show as well, from industries such as training, recruitment agencies, hoteliers, education, and like us, software developers. One of our local resellers, Flexi Team Group, was also among the exhibitors.

As it was an exhibition targeting the Human Resource sector, we decided that our main theme at the booth would be TimeTec Web, the web-based workforce management software, as well as a preview feature of TimeTec Cloud.

Throughout the show, the visitors came mainly to attend the many forums that were organized for the shows. Although many visitors didn’t come our way after the finish of the events, we still did get a number of good leads and inquiries from several large companies such a local chain of pharmacy and beauty stores and Malaysian highway management company, regarding our TimeTec Web features and the details of how it could be deployed easily to replace their existing system.

All in all, the crowd at the HR Technology Showcase could have been better, but it was still a good start and experience for FingerTec to gauge the leads from participating in the show. We hope that in years to come, the reception would be more promising, helping us to advertise and promote our TimeTec software to an even further extent.
