FingerTec in Malaysia has replaced the whole attendance system at the local Council of Ampang Jaya, a district not too far from the capital of Kuala Lumpur.
The Ampang Jaya council is responsible for the development and maintenance of their district which contains a population of around 574,300. The council, also referred to as MPAJ (Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya) was using a fingerprint device as their current attendance and access control system, which also happened to be a local brand. However, the machine was giving problem whereby quite a number of its users weren’t able to verify their attendance with the device, and the customer support was poor. This is when FingerTec’s local reseller, Fazgates Services Sdn. Bhd. was contacted and requested to replace the entire system that was placed in the Management Office and the HR/Admin Dept.
