Ocean Eleven Sdn Bhd, a dealer of mobile phones and computer accessories in Selangor has decided to switch to biometrics technology from its conventional punch card system with clear KPIs in mind. The biometrics system is expected to manage staff better, to offer automation and reduce workload while increasing efficiency and to improve overall staff’s discipline with the presence of accurate attendance data. Ocean Eleven through its reseller SV Solution System has agreed to install FingerTec TA100C in 9 outlets around Kuala Lumpur and Kuantan. All employees are required to utilize the terminals for check in, breaks, overtime, check outs and et cetera. At the end of the payroll cycle, data from the terminals are transferred to the HQ using USB disc for HR assessment and payroll processing.
Since the installations of the biometrics system for attendance, Ocean Eleven has managed to achieve the set KPIs and they are pleased with the investment. According to Mr Walace Wong, Marketing Manager of SV Solution System, they always promote FingerTec to their clients because the brand is famous for its excellent after sales support. Besides, all FingerTec products are not bundled with basic software like many other brands but FingerTec comes with powerful software that has all the useful features without additional costs. “FingerTec has a strong system, which makes it easier for us dealers to deal with them in many issues such as support, warranty, marketing and many more,” said Mr Wallace. Ocean Eleven is currently using FingerTec attendance system to manage 50 of its retail outlet employees.
