FingerTec terminals are designed for attendance and access control for office use; therefore they are susceptible to frequent use and vandalism. One way to protect the terminals from being access by the public is by using enclosure.

The enclosure only provides users a space to scan a finger and they cannot access keypad/system. FingerTec products give users an option to report attendance using one-to-many verification method, where they do not need to key in any user ID before scanning their fingers. Only administrators with the key can handle the terminals.
