Francisco Medina Keeps Apartment Residents Safe with FingerTec in Dominican Republic

This year E.Threan & Cia, FingerTec distributor in the Dominican Republic Island, includes another company into its growing list of prominent clients. The new client, Francisco Medina, is a company in the Dominican Republic dealing in the construction and building industry. Owned by a Mr. Francisco Medina, the company is based in Santo Domingo, the capital and largest city in the Dominican Republic.

As an apartment builder, Mr. Francisco Medina is interested in up-to-date access control systems as an added feature to his constructions and to increase security for property buyers. With a driven interest for modern technology, Medina contacted E.Threan & Cia to have biometrics access control for each floor of a newly built apartment and to install access control devices on 3 doors connecting the vehicle parking area with the lobby and elevator area.

Taking up the challenge, E.Threan & Cia proceeded to install H2i device in the elevator for fingerprint capture to work alongside the separately acquired floor controller. H3i devices were installed for access control for the vehicle parking area, lobby and elevator.

FingerTec H2i

The H2i offers a high storage capacity and numerous functions despite being relatively small in size. Capable of storing up to 1,500 fingerprint templates, the H2i also offers a card verification method with 10,000 card templates storage capability. The H3i is also compact in size but adds another verification method for a 4-digit password input. The H2i and H3i can be used as a stand-alone solution best suited for home and private security. Residents of the apartment will no longer worry about lost keys as a simple touch of the finger allows for identity confirmation and access to the building. The H2i and H3i are capable of working in tandem with external built-in alarm systems that, easily alerting residents, management and security in case of emergencies and break-ins.

The use of biometrics verification increases the security measure to safeguard the residents and their property as biometrics are hard to replicate or exploited. And while fingerprint verification can be used to store unit owners’ identification, RFID cards can be used for extended family members or permitted guests. The flexibility of the various FingerTec products accommodates a wide range of industry making security easy not only for businesses but for home use as well.

E.Threan & Cia has been FingerTec’s distributor for nine years to date and they have installed FingerTec solutions in various locations and clients including Dominican Republic’s Judicial Council, Sybaris Residences, and Bagricola Bank
