Nile Air is an Egyptian joint-stock company established in 2008 and received its air operator’s certificate (AOC) in November 2009 from the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, allowing the use of aircrafts for commercial purposes. Nile Air became the first private Egyptian airline to publish its schedule and flight availability on the Global Distribution System (GDS).
The company began operations in 2011 and now has flight routes from Cairo, and its second hub in Alexandria, to Jeddah, Yanbu, El-Gassim, Taif, Tabuk and Kuwait. Offering passengers secure and low-priced air travel services, it is unsurprising that Nile Air has just recently made two orders of the AirbusA320-200 to expand the current fleet size of three. June 2015 also marks the launching of a new flight route from Cairo to Hofuf.
