Nile Air Chooses Kadex for Access Management

Nile Air is the leading private airline in Egypt catering to destinations within the Middle East and with plans for future expansions into other parts of the world. Based in Cairo, with a branch office in Alexandria, Nile Air offers passengers scheduled flight services both locally and internationally. As a client of Apex Integrated Solution, FingerTec’s Egypt reseller, Nile Air has been using FingerTec devices for its time attendance system.

Nile Air is an Egyptian joint-stock company established in 2008 and received its air operator’s certificate (AOC) in November 2009 from the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, allowing the use of aircrafts for commercial purposes. Nile Air became the first private Egyptian airline to publish its schedule and flight availability on the Global Distribution System (GDS).

The company began operations in 2011 and now has flight routes from Cairo, and its second hub in Alexandria, to Jeddah, Yanbu, El-Gassim, Taif, Tabuk and Kuwait. Offering passengers secure and low-priced air travel services, it is unsurprising that Nile Air has just recently made two orders of the AirbusA320-200 to expand the current fleet size of three. June 2015 also marks the launching of a new flight route from Cairo to Hofuf.

Since 2011, Nile Air has installed both the TA200 Plus and the AC100C, which use biometrics technology as data collecting features for a time attendance system. Both models use fingerprints and password verification methods, with an extra RFID card feature for the TA200 Plus. These options, alongside full coloured displays and the TCMS V2 software, make for a convenient and practical system for any company. Despite having fewer features than the TA200 Plus, the AC100C still offers a reliable system at a lesser cost, making it the best choice for small companies.

To further improve on their operations, Nile Air recently installed FingerTec products Kadex and i-Kadex alongside the already established attendance system for their Cairo based Headquarters. Kadex is an access and attendance system that supports card ID, a 5-digit password or a combination of both verification methods. The i-Kadex is the slave reader component to Kadex which can be used in a mix and match combination with the Kadex, m-Kadex, and k-Kadex.

As Nile Air expands its operations, the need for a better working environment arises and the company recently installed two more FingerTec products, the Kadex and i-Kadex. The Kadex combines both time attendance and access functions. Instead of relying on biometrics, the Kadex utilizes card, password and PIN verifications and has been installed at all three entrances of the head office in Cairo near the Egyptian Airport.

With products that offer reliability and the excellent service by Apex Integrated Solution, Nile Air’s decision to turn to FingerTec for its solution is highly warranted.
