Qatar Museums Unearths an Amazing
Time Attendance & Access Control Solution With
FingerTec i-Kiosk 100 Plus

Museums are a wonderful place to broaden and fuel the human mind and knowledge. As archives or storehouses of information and learning, these public cultural institutions are a treasure trove of human history and ingenuity. Even in the dusty, dry terrain of Qatar, Doha, one will not find a shortage of museums especially with Qatar Museums (QM) at the helm. Established in 2005 by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, former Emir of the State of Qatar, Qatar Museums aims to combine the resources of all museums in Qatar, providing a comprehensive organization for museum development to connect diverse audiences – nationally and internationally – with a program that welcomes the world to Doha.

With so many of their present museums and exhibitions located all over the region in numerous remote locations and even internationally, Qatar Museums were continuously splitting hairs over the time attendance and access control issues and mix-ups as all employees must report to the HR administration team headquartered at the main office. Without a centralized data management system, it was a harrowing ordeal to constantly monitor and deal with the numerous amount of data coming in from all over the region and to ensure that data integrity is error free and uncompromised.

However, with the deployment of over 60 FingerTec i-Kiosk 100 Plus systems in all main and minor museums around the region by Intelligent Project (FingerTec Qatar), the automation and simplification of employee monitoring and data management provides for easier and accurate tracking of employees whether or not they are working in or out of the office as fingerprint identification data cannot be duplicated or falsified easily. Qatar Museums also utilized i-Kiosk 100 Plus’ full colour TFT 65k display screen complete with short messaging and display/voice capabilities in Arabic to display corporate advertisements and connect with all their employees. With a supersized capacity of over 10,000 fingerprint templates and 200,000 transaction logs, Qatar Museums were able to store all 5000 of its employee’s data and perform hassle-free data transferrals with only a USB flashdisk device.

Intelligent Project worked hard to ensure that Qatar Museums were provided with ample training on the features and benefits of the Ingress software for them to fully utilize this powerful software as well as the possibility of data integration to third party Payroll System for future use. Intelligent Project (FingerTec Qatar) is stationed in Doha since its establishment in 2000 and has been promoting FingerTec products to corporate clients in the region while simultaneously building its channel network nationwide. Intelligent Project is now one of the noted companies in Qatar under the SHK ABDULRAHMAN Al-THANI Group providing all types of surveillance solutions, access control systems and other IT related solutions and services.
