Zong is Pakistan’s second largest GSM mobile service provider and third largest mobile service in terms of subscriber base of over 25.6 million. Recently, Pakistan entered a new phase of mobile communication with the introduction of 3G and 4G and Zong was right smack in the middle of the transformation of the communication world, providing people with a new means of communication and making their life even more resourceful. AppleWood, FingerTec’s reseller in Pakistan had the privilege of helping Zong upgrade its security and time attendance protocols using FingerTec equipment. |

Over the different phases of the commissioning period, AppleWood installed about 24 FingerTec devices across Zong’s various offices in Pakistan. The offices include the regional headquarters in Karachi, Hydrabad, Quetta, Islamabad and proposals for other offices including sub-regional offices in Peshawar and Lahore are being worked on. The model chosen was R2 and Kadex. All across the offices, these devices have been installed for dual purposes, time attendance recording and to provide security using access control. The records of all employees are being monitored at a central server using the FingerTec TCMS V2 software and the Ingress software simultaneously. |
