TimeLine 100, a diversification strategy to widen market scope

FingerTec Worldwide has introduced its first RFID card reader to the market in early March 2008 and being positioned as a supplementary product, the TimeLine 100 Time & Attendance reader has surprisingly received encouraging demands from FingerTec® resellers worldwide. Based on the feedbacks received, the TimeLine 100 is a nice addition to the existing product portfolio and many have placed early orders to be able to offer their local markets at the earliest.

Teh Hon Seng, the managing director of FingerTec Worldwide bringing in the TimeLine 100 to the FingerTec® product line up to capture wider market in time attendance and access control where customers require simpler and cheaper solutions that do not necessarily utilizing biometrics technology. Expecting a 15% contribution of revenue generated from overall RFID card reader product line this year, Teh is confident as the existing reseller channels are excited to add the TimeLine 100 to their catalogue.

The main advantage of the TimeLine 100 in terms of function as according to Teh is that it offers TCP/IP and USB port, in which the other brands of RFID card seldom have. He added that the TimeLine 100 is using TCMS V2, the same software of the other FingerTec® range of products and this tops the advantage list as it provides convenience to the customers especially in areas that are using combination of fingerprint and cards systems. Followed by Timeline 100, FingerTec® will release its first proximity card door access reader, Kadex by end of next month, he said.
