3Pointech - Advancing Technology With FingerTec
( by Regielou Rolloque, Sales Manager, Hispanic Market )

It’s been two months since the NFPA’s America’s Fire & Security Expo was held in Miami. Exhibitors and visitors came and went but for those companies who made a lasting impression on each other it’s more than “business as usual” as they work on the rapport they have started together.

3Pointech, a thriving company in Colombia, has forged a partnership with FingerTec Worldwide during that event. Mr. Ivan Hoyos, the genial General Manager of 3Pointech, remarked that he was very impressed with the FingerTec products on display – the TA102 for time attendance, the Q2i with multimedia features, and the sturdy R2 connected to a door access demo kit. So impressed that he decided to purchase all 3 models on display (and saved me and my co-worker, Tamy, the burden of heavy luggages on our flight back to Malaysia). :-)

Showcasing FingerTec® products
3Pointech specializes in security and automation industry. The company has been around since 1994 and has a certification from Intel Corporation as an integrator of Intel® processors. They are a distributor of computers and printers of the most prestigious brands: IBM, Hewlett Packard, Acer, Toshiba, Samsung, and Viewsonic. The FingerTec® brand is now being auspiciously added to the list of global brands they work with.

As part of their efforts to promote FingerTec® in Colombia, 3Pointech sponsored a special 3-hour training at Hotel San Joaquin in Medellin, Colombia on September 16th. The session involved updates on their security products and they proudly showcased their latest addition to their security products, FingerTec®’s time attendance and door access fingerprint machines.

According to Mr. Hoyos, the training session was a fruitful one and most participants had positive comments about the FingerTec terminals. Inquiries brought up by the attendants concerned purchase quotations, the possibility of integrating FingerTec’s system with their own payroll system, and the number of doors a door access system can support. Mr. Hoyos is confident that the FingerTec® brand will find its niche in Colombia as they plan to sponsor more trainings and presentations to integrators and resellers regarding FingerTec® products in the near future.
