information required such as IP address, branches addresses, contact persons etc. All user IDs for each branch were sorted out prior to installation to avoid jumbling up of IDs during implementation. To ease TCMS execution, Excels prepared user guide to assist customers in setting up and operating procedure. A schedule of installation was drawn and Excels’s team liaised with dealers in all locations to get information on installation spots and to make sure that all cablings were ready. perform final checking on all branches and the headquarters machines to make sure all data reach the headquarters and that they were able to generate reports for payroll. This 7-week project did come with problems where many of the end-users preferred to use USB connectivity rather than TCP/IP. Excels prepared and sent another guide on USB to assist them on the subject. There were also a few branches, which needed to change the installation location of the readers. While changing the location of the clock was not a big factor, liaising with dealers was. Excels managed to sort things out with dealers to successfully installed all clocks at preferred locations of the customers. All in all, the deployment of FingerTec machines at Takashimaya Holdings Sdn Bhd Malaysia’s nationwide branches has given Excels System a great reference to a centralized time attendance system. |
