FingerTec Hits the City of Gold Again

The Intersec Exhibition held annually in Dubai is one of the largest exhibitions in the Middle East, attracting exhibitors and visitors from over 50 countries worldwide. Like every year, FingerTec participated in the Intersec exhibition accompanied by its partner in the U.A.E., Magnum Connect, and this time, Mrs. Norana Johar, the COO of FingerTec herself, was present to oversee the market development and to meet the clients.

This time, the crowd-puller of FingerTec’s booth was the revolutionary Face ID 3 which was just about to be launched. Many visitors stopped at our booth to enroll and experience the quick verification speed of the Face ID 3, and no one was left disappointed except for the fact that it was not launched yet for them to purchase the demo unit.

Also on display was the best-selling R2 & R2i, Kadex & i-Kadex, the Face ID 2, and the newly released H2i which also sparked some curiosity in a lot of our visitors with its screen-less and keypad-less outlook.

Our booth received quite a deal of attention indeed.

FingerTec’s booth received a lot of global attention from potential clients, mostly from the Middle East, but also reaching further to African and European visitors as well. Intersec has always been the meeting place between us and our esteemed clients. This year we were graced by the presence of Mr. Saqib Hudda from AppleWood Pakistan, Mr. Abbas Mukadam from Seven Seas, U.A.E., Mr. Ibrahim Helmy from World Connection, Qatar, Mr Faisal Kan, CEO of IPTEC, who also staged a show in the event and also we had the chance to met our new resellers from Oman for the first time, Mr. Yousuf Al-Yahmadi and Mr. Nayeem Pasha, Managing Director and Marketing Manager respectively from Expert Software (Middle East) L.L.C.

Even though a lot of competition was present at the Intersec, one main factor that stood FingerTec out was the fact that the software and hardware are both available in a variety of languages, of which mostly inquired was French and Arabic. FingerTec also took this opportunity to distribute its debut magazine, Beyond Biometrics to visitors at the booth, thus giving them a bigger picture of FingerTec’s activity around the world.

Overall, the exhibition was a great success, and an investment worth every penny from FingerTec. The Intersec Dubai show will definitely be a regular for FingerTec. Look out for us in the show next year!

Visiting Dubai was such a great experience as it is truly a cosmopolitan city. Throughout our whole stay there, I only met one person who originated from U.A.E. – a fact that would probably be unusual in every other city except Dubai.

Apart from meeting a real variety of people, we managed to experience few things in Dubai such as the Dessert Safari Tour. The Dune Bashing, which is basically rough driving on the sand dunes in the dessert with a 4-wheel drive really left us thrilled, adrenaline-pumped and wanting for more! It’s amazing how the vehicle can take such versatile turns without losing grip on the sand or overturning.

Then there was the magnificent Burj Khalifa – a majestic sight no matter how near or far, day or night. The thought of it being twice as tall as the Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia was incredible but at the same time believable. The aura of just standing before the building, accompanied by the beautifully synchronized water-fountain show is hard to put into words or capture in photographs. It left us speechlessly in awe.

Though slightly on the pricey side, shopping and food in Dubai was also quite different as we get such different brands and a whole wider variety in the malls over there. Even the malls were built to be majestic, inside and out, reflecting the glam and prestige of the city.

From skyscrapers, to man-made islands, to 7-star hotels, and an indoor ski-park, Dubai is truly an over-the-top city which is constantly exceeding your expectations!
