Crown Paints Kenya Limited Achieved ‘Company of the Year Award (COYA)’ with FingerTec System’s Help

Established in 1958, Crown Paints Kenya Limited has grown to a company with an annual turnover of USD 50 Million and now produces 2.3 million litres of paint per month.

The company has 7 branches and several depots and showrooms in Kenya and the wider East African Region and employs both permanent and contractual employees. Crown Paints currently uses 14 FingerTec Time Attendance Devices for Attendance Management across all the branches.

In 2007, the company acquired the FingerTec Time Attendance System (TA100C), after previously working with several Time Attendance devices, which they found to be inefficient as they failed to prevent issues such as overtime being paid in excess, wasted resources, and of course ‘Time Theft’ or frauds like ‘Buddy Punching’. With FingerTec however, the tracking features for the audit trail have been of great help. The company has recently upgraded some of their devices to the latest TA500 for the smaller branches, which have greatly improved efficiency in Time Attendance management for all the employees.

From design to installation in 2007, and in every step in between, FingerTec through Gravity Solutions Limited - Kenya, has been ‘completely professional and very responsive’. Even 7 years later, both organizations still stay in touch, with Crown Paints being kept informed of the latest changes in technology and to help in upgrading the systems for better performances. The company also achieved 3 more awards at the Company of the Year Awards 2014 for CEO of the Year, Leadership and Management, and Productivity and Quality awards.
