Established in 1950, SJK (C) Ladang Hillside was established in 1950, having a good long history record of 64 years till now. Built on a piece of rented land for many years and in May 2009, an unfortunate incident has struck the school. A severe termite attack on the school building has forced students to evacuate their classes and have their lessons conducted in extremely small and uncomfortable container cabins for the past 6 years. IJM land has generously donated a piece of land to SJK (C) Ladang Hillside for the new school building and the expected completion date for this project was April 2014. However, the true setback lies in the issue of insufficient funds to cover for the cost of construction and infrastructure estimated.

In order to equip the new school buildings with a science laboratory, a canteen, classroom furniture, staffroom essentials, electrical and plumbing fixtures, fencing, landscaping, gate and a guardhouse, the school will still need to gather an amount of RM1.2 million. FingerTec acknowledges that all children have an equal right to education and have made a donation to provide them the tools and educational environment they need to succeed.

By making education accessible to every child, this will provide them the opportunity to tap into their talents and reach their fullest potential. FingerTec hopes that no child will ever be left behind in this fast-paced world and feel that the best gift that is given is definitely the one that can shape the future of the next generation for the years to come.
