Sudan Military Industry Corporation Installs FingerTec R2 to Intensify Access Control |
President Omar al Bashir established the Military Industry Corporation of Sudan in 1993 with the objective to safeguard its national sovereignty by producing the country’s own military products. The project started small initially and now the corporation has expanded across 7 manufacturing plants nationwide ranging from production of ammunition, conventional weapons, armored vehicles, battle tanks, vehicles, gear, outfit and other military equipment. |

Keeping up with the latest technology in access control security, this Sudan’s state-run corporation consulted Ultratech, FingerTec’s distributor in the country, on installing biometrics system throughout its plants and premises. Fingerprint technology has been proven to provide the uniqueness required in security. Researches done by Sir Francis Galton, the nineteenth-century English anthropologist, confirmed that chances of two fingerprints being identical are as small as 64 billion to one and in over a century of forensic fingerprinting, no two prints have ever been found to be the same, even those of identical twins. With the understanding that fingerprint can’t be replicated, they choose FingerTec system that comes with the bundling of FingerTec’s management software for easy administration of personnel around their many plants around Sudan. |

A total of 47 FingerTec R2 has been installed by Ultratech to safeguard access control at MIC’s various locations. Ultratech is thrilled to be selected for this project, as MIC is a high profile client which will lead them to many other opportunities in the same industry. Ultratech is a security company located at capital city of Khartoum Sudan dealing with FingerTec solutions since 2008. |
